About Maldives

The Maldives consists of 1,190 islands surrounded by atolls crossing the equator. The atolls resemble emerald, sapphire, topaz and aquamarine jewels forming a necklace in the Indian Ocean.

While each island has its own unique vegetation – coconut, breadfruit, banana and banyan trees dominate the island landscape while colors of hibiscus and scents of frangipani fill the air.
